We decided to explore our Africa snack. Finally we decided on cassava flakes that the name in English, we the African call it Garri soaking/ Gali. Hmmm full of old school memories.

Today we demonstrated and had some people to test the Garri at Alfie shop.

We had a lovely feed back from the customers.

One outstanding bit of feedback from a customer, he said he grew up with his family growing and preparing Garri, and for the past 20 years he has not tasted Gari, since living in London 😢. He felt we have let our for fathers down, the invention they created ie Garri, people have ignored it and not made use of it. They don’t see the use of it… You should see the excitement on his face. 20 good years he has finally tasted the Garri the food he was brought up with but has ignored it for the past 20 years.

I felt so happy as I was able to put a smile on his face once again.awww. God bless his soul. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

TGIF. Friedrice with chicken. 😋#dyslexia

We thank God for life, TGIF. I decided to cook rice with stew, roasted chicken, that was my plan. Hmm

Picked Ruby up from school🚸, she was so exited to see me, she gave me our special greeting handed over some snacks 🍌. You should see how happy she was, ask her how her day has been, so I listened to all her girls talk full of excitement. Then I decided to discuss our menu for the night, that was rice, chicken and stew.

Then my Ruby was like mum that a great idea but I want you cook fried rice for me, but I still what you to cook your our choice of meal, but all you have to do is to take mine and turned it into fried rice. I’m like okey Ruby mummy is going to try,

So as soon as we got home, wash my hands due to covid 19 guidelines.

*Session my chicken and straight into the oven.

* wash my rice and drop into it a small amount of oil into my rice small salt, and brought it to boil.

*I then stem my mix vegetable.

Now time to mix my fried rice.

Due to allergy of prawns, I only use eggs. So I put it a little oil in my frayed pan and add fried the eggs,

I then add in my veg, put in my boiled rice and add soya sauce, stir them together. Add my special spice.. Inbox me for the special spice.. Lol
